An unexpected asbestos find has now delayed construction crews at Wapato High School and the demolition project that was set to be completed by the beginning of school will now go on through the first few weeks.
Officials with the school have stated that the safety of those in the school is not in question, but keeping the traffic flow of students throughout the school is somewhat an issue.
The current phase of the project is set to be completed by the end of the week and the next phase will start shortly after.
